ABOUT SEIJI
Skincare, reduced to what matters.
SEIJI is a cosmetic research company focused on developing a more deliberate approach to skincare. Modern skincare has become increasingly complex, with routines often built around multiple products performing overlapping functions. SEIJI was founded on a different principle: healthy skin should not require an excessive number of steps. Our research focuses on identifying the essential functions a skincare routine should perform, then developing products that address those needs as efficiently and thoughtfully as possible.
Cleanse. Hydrate. Protect. Treat.
Every formulation is developed with a clear purpose, with an emphasis on reducing unnecessary complexity while maintaining performance, comfort, and quality.
01 — RESEARCH-LED FORMULATION
SEIJI approaches skincare through formulation research, ingredient evaluation, and active-molecule development. We study how ingredients interact within a finished formula, how texture and delivery affect performance, and how established cosmetic technologies can be refined into simpler, more effective systems. Our development work is particularly informed by Korean cosmetic science, including its advances in lightweight hydration, emulsification, sheet-mask technology, barrier-focused skincare, and sophisticated sensory formulation. Rather than reproducing existing products, we use these principles as a foundation for our own research and development.

02 — BRITISH COLUMBIA INGREDIENTS
SEIJI also explores botanicals and raw materials connected to British Columbia, Canada. The region’s temperate coastal climate, abundant rainfall, dense forests, and diverse vegetation provide access to botanicals with meaningful potential for cosmetic development. Our interest in regional ingredients is not based on origin alone. Each material is evaluated according to its function, formulation compatibility, safety, quality, and available scientific evidence before being considered for use. This includes ongoing research into botanicals such as yarrow (Achillea millefolium), which is being explored for its potential in soothing and antioxidant-focused skincare formulations.

03 — BUILDING THE ESSENTIAL ROUTINE
SEIJI is developing a focused product system intended to address the core needs of daily skincare without unnecessary duplication. Our current work spans cleansing, hydration, and treatment, with additional development underway in sun protection and advanced anti-aging formulations. The objective is not to create more products. It is to create fewer products that do more, work better together, and earn their place in a routine.
Fewer products. Better systems.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Advanced formulation. Carefully selected ingredients. Fewer, more purposeful products.
Less, but better.
